2001Maurice Williams
received The Order of the Palmetto from Governor Jim Hodges on April 18,
2001 in Columbia, SC. The Order of the Palmetto is the highest honor
that any civilian can receive from the State of South Carolina. On hand
were a number of Beach Music luminaries, the press, Billy
Scott, Drink Small, Harry Turner and Hilda Carter.
Latest News:Maurice along with Shohn Marshall Presented "The First Annual Beach Music Memorial Tribute" Sunday, December 18, 2005 held at the Oharra Lounge. If you missed the event, you will be able to see some of the highlights on upcoming broadcast of "Eve's Orbit". The "First Annual Beach Music Memorial Tribute" show is not only a memorial Tribute to the Memory of Marcel Evans who sang with the Zodiacs and the original Drifters, but a means to help those Beach Music Musicians who can't afford health Insurance or burial
expenses.
