CHRISTMAS DAY

Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs have been performing a benefit concert to the residents of a Nursing Home in South Carolina for over 20 years.  This year was no exception and he was received as always with such joy by all the staff and residents alike.  He donates his time, talents and even many of his Limited Edition "Santa Claus" CD's were donated to help residents raise funds for a special gift they wanted.  His gift will keep on giving as he autographed each CD that was purchased to raise the funds the Nursing Home needed for their Plasma TV.  The residents were joyful and truly grateful that such a special man would visit them and take the time to shake their hands and speak to them.  He stayed long after the crew had wrapped up to leave, to make sure that each person that lined up to meet him had the opportunity to get their moment with him.

LABOR DAY

If you missed the Anderson, SC Concert - there were about 10,000 - 15,000 people there - Maurice was the headliner and the show was fabulous.  It was seen on TV "Eve's Orbit".  So if you want to see that show for the first time or the second time, let us know.

  Grateful Fans Needed

"Who is there to pick up the tab for the beach music entertainers who have given so much to the world and in their hour of crisis where can they turn?  Who is there to help their family?   As in the past their friends in the music industry have come together to show support and raise funds to help bury them pay their medical expenses.  All the help rendered was done out-of-pocket and dedicated with love.  Yet, so much more could have been done perhaps to help others who were not so well known and would not have drawn the crowds to a benefit event to help raise the money needed to pay their medical expenses or funeral cost.  This need came to light to a very special man by the name of Maurice Williams, so he along with one of his closest friends Shohn Marshall started the "Beach Music Memorial Fund".

They will produce an Annual Beach Music Memorial Tribute" each year where Beach Music Legends will come to offer their support and perform for the crowds.

I know that you have heard the term starving artist before.  Think about this for a minute and fit yourself into these shoes for instance:  You are a musician or performer who makes their living entertaining people, weekly.  All of a sudden a health issue prevents you from earning your keep, you do not have sick leave or other benefits that kick in and help you get by.  So where will you turn? Who will help to pay those mounting hospital bills? Will you be able to get treatment because you do not have Health Insurance?  What happens if you pass away?

The Beach Music Memorial Fund Foundation is a Non-Profit Organization which will provide the support and relief that is so desperately needed by those who have given so much to all of us for years.

We hope that Grateful Fans that have enjoyed Beach Music and continue to enjoy this wonderful entertainment will want to contribute whatever they can to help. It is truly needed and very much appreciated."
