I Remember
was originally released in 1961 as side B on the Single Always.
Always did well but never gained the national
popularity that I Remember achieved. I Remember
placed on the pop charts but never rose to top 40 status. Somehow it
did not place on the R&B charts that year. Several other wonderful
tunes that Maurice had written did better on one chart but not on the
other.
I Remember is one of those songs
that has a very endearing quality and is requested quite often when "Maurice
Williams & The Zodiacs" perform. "Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs"
are in high demand and still actively performing through out the South today.
Maurice Williams can be seen on TV each month on "Eve's
Orbit" as well as various "Doo Wop" and TV
Specials. His music is used on a number of popular commercials.
Maurice has the gift for writing and recording top
tunes, he never disappointed the public that loved him.
